Way of the Hunter 2

Way of the Hunter 2 Erynnis Lucilius: Sick Moose Mission

At a glance

Harvest three sick moose in the highlighted hunting-map area. The count must reach 3/3 and the Erynnis Lucilius Mission completed banner must appear; shooting an arbitrary moose is not enough.

Start with Regina Harper’s objective

Continue Regina Harper’s mission dialogue until ERYNNIS LUCILIUS is added and tracked. The objective reads Harvest the sick moose in the highlighted area on the hunting map, starting at 0/3. If that dialogue is not available yet, continue your existing mission progression; do not assume the task can bypass its earlier requirements.

Search the highlighted area

On New Laurentia, the demonstrated area lies southwest of Regina, south of Thunderbird Muskeg and near the river bend and woods northeast of Mishipeshu Swamp. Follow your own yellow task circle rather than a guessed numeric coordinate.

Look for Western moose and use Regina’s description of poor coordination or circling as clues. Do not clear healthy moose from the herd just because they share the area. Use appropriate ammunition, track the shot animal and perform Harvest when you reach it. The task counter increasing is the useful check that the animal counted.

Confirm completion and rewards

Continue until all three sick moose have been harvested. The mission finishes with ERYNNIS LUCILIUS / Mission completed, with a demonstrated reward of 600 cash and 170 XP. A nearby Challenge completed notification can belong to a separate rifle challenge; do not confuse it with the mission.

The mission-complete sequence does not require an additional return to Regina before the banner appears.

Targets outside the circle or in water

Patch 1.2 specifically fixes sick moose leaving the highlighted area. Check your installed version and current task circle before following an older chase outside it; this fix is not a guarantee that every older stuck save automatically recovers.

When choosing a shot, favour recoverable ground to reduce problems reaching the carcass. If an animal dies in water and cannot be harvested, record its position, the task count, build and whether the Harvest prompt appears. There is no dependable universal recovery procedure to substitute here, and deleting the entire save is not a task-specific solution.
